There’s a great deal of interest in today’s papers over David Miliband’s speech at LSE last night – you can read the speech in full here. The Guardian has one of the best round ups of the speech in its entirety, and Sunder Katwala has posted his thoughts on what this Miliband to Miliband memo really means…
William Hague remains under seige, and his competence (or lack of) is likely to be mentioned at PMQs today. He faces attacks from both the left and the right in today’s papers. Recently he was laughed at by MPs in the chamber, which doesn’t bode well. Other topics which may arise are cuts in police numbers, and the Prince Andrew scandal. Miliband will need to tread carefully in any mentions of the Royals in the chamber, but he may want to force Cameron into a public statement on the matter.
And the Mail is reporting a Tory “crisis meeting” over the AV referendum. Senior Tories believe that “Yes” could win due to apathy from voters, and that this would be disastrous for the Tories, which will no doubt have an impact on the way apathetic Labour voters view the referendum.
