Lynton Crosby’s business partner says Australian broadcaster giving Tom Watson “a giant blow job”

27th August, 2013 9:16 am

As Michael Gove plans to read out the latest missive from the Lynton Crosby playbook today, over in Australia his business partner Mark Textor is showing another side of their campaigning style – by accusing Australian broadcaster ABC of giving Tom Watson “a giant blow job” for having the temerity to interview him. A few hours ago, Textor tweeted:

textor blow job

He’s also attacked Tony Blair as a “wanker” in the last few hours too, but it’s been Watson who has borne the brunt of his anger.

Presumably he didn’t enjoy Watson’s LabourList post about him…?

I’m surprised that Textor knows how to spell ABC to be honest. Eeek.

Cameron’s Cowardice shows the collapse of modern Conservatism

The Conservative electorate strategy is to contrast their ‘strong leadership’ (as it says on their website) with Labour’s supposed weakness and vacillation. David Cameron is the man with a strategy, Ed Balls stutters and Ed Miliband dangerously doesn’t know what he’s talking about. It boils down to endlessly repeating the same line about a ‘long term economic plan’, although the plan itself gets cut and reshaped as every new stache of statistics comes out. Remember, remember, the Tories ditched their original […]

Green surge? Greens fall from 2nd to 3rd in Natalie Bennett’s own ward

The Greens are having their pre-election conference today, and party leader Natalie Bennett is the keynote speaker. She’ll be trying to push on the “green surge” that floundered somewhat after her horrorshow day of interviews recently. But that “surge” might not be all it’s cracked up to be. Bennett is the Green Party PPC for the Labour held seat of Holborn and St Pancras, and lives in the ward of St Pancras & Somers Town. Yesterday there was a by-election, and […]

Miliband urged to act on housing and rail. What green surge? And Jowell still London Mayoral favourite

Last week when Labour announced that they’d reduce tuition fees from £9,000 a year to £6,000 they made the fourth in their five general election pledges. This meant university fees were added to a list that already reads: 1)reduce the deficit 2) control immigration 3)protect and improve the NHS But what will be the party’s fifth and final pledge? As it’ll be made on 14th March, we wanted to know what LabourList readers would choose to be this final commitment. […]

Miliband announces Labour’s plan for older people

Tomorrow (Friday March 6th) Ed Miliband will lay out Labour’s plans for older people – including how the party would protect pensions, retirement savings and free TV licences and bus passes. Miliband will make this announcement in Redcar (no.91 on their target seat list). While there he’ll say Labour would guarantee there would only be changes to Winter Fuel Payments for the richest 5% of pensioners but would keep TV licences and bus passes free for all who are of […]
