The Labour shadow cabinet will meet with the Welsh cabinet, led by Carwyn Jones, this week.
With the general election fast approaching, Miliband has organised this meeting with Jones’ cabinet – due to happen in Cardiff on Friday – as part of an effort to decide what they will offer to the Welsh people should Labour win next May.
In light of the Tories recent attacks on the way the Welsh administration have run public services – in particular health and education – a Labour source has said that when they meet, the group of senior politicians will focus on the economy. Speaking with Wales Online the senior source said:
“This will be the first time the full Shadow Cabinet has met the Welsh Cabinet – it’s an important moment.
The meeting will focus on the economy and infrastructure. There will be a series of visits made by members of the Shadow Cabinet to find out how things have been done differently and better in Wales.”
