Labour’s national executive council have announced that they will choose the candidate for Torfaen using an open shortlist.
Torfaen in Wales has been Labour-held since it was created in 1983. Paul Murphy, former Welsh Secretary, has been the MP for the constituency since 1987. will choose its candidate to replace former Welsh Secretary Paul Murphy as MP for Torfaen from an open shortlist. He announced he’d be stepping down after a 28 year-long career as an MP in January
The candidate chosen to replace Murphy will be announced in March. We’ll keep you updated.
