Weekly Survey: campaigning, housing and the best pledge

have your say ll (long)

The general election is almost upon us. But there’s still plenty of time to get out and do some door knocking. We want to know how many of you will be out and about campaigning before May 7th. Let us know here.

Labour have just unveiled their sixth and final pledge: it’s on housing. It reads as follows: ‘Homes to buy and acton on rents’. Translated into policy terms, this means Labour would begin the “biggest house building programme for a generation” (promising to begin building at least one million houses by the end of the next parliament), get rid of stamp duty for first time buyers and “secure three-year rents capped by inflation.”

With this in mind, we want to ask a question we’ve asked before – but which we did prior to this sixth promise – which pledge is your favourite? You can brush up on the details of each of them here. Do you like this newest pledge the most? Or do you think Labour’s promise on the NHS is the best? Or would you pick on of the other four as your top pledge? Have your say.

Finally, on the housing pledge: what do you think of it? Is it very good, just ok and aren’t you very happy with it at all? Let us know here.
