Tory MP Matt Hancock slammed by Daybreak presenter over “nonsense” excuse for missing interview

There has been much amusement over the past 24 hours at the expense of Tory MP Matt Hancock, who overslept yesterday and missed his chance to bash those on benefits on “Daybreak”. Perhaps Mr Hancock wouldn’t be quite such a ripe candidate for such amusement if he didn’t compare himself to Churchill, Pitt and Disraeli, demand a chauffeur driven car and throw a wobbler over his official photo.

Yet his excuse that he was only a minute late to appear on air has been thoroughly debunked this morning by Daybreak presenter Matt Barbet. Here are his tweets on the subject (read from the bottom up):
