Whilst the eyes of the Westminster Village has been watching the debate/tribute to Margaret Thatcher in the Commons, this video of George Galloway has come to light of the Bradford West MP praising the “cohesive, pristine, innocent culture” of North Korea on his (Iranian state funded) Press TV show, comment (h/t: HuffPo):
Most Western visitors to North Korea are confined to the capital Pyongyang – reserved for the (relatively) well off party elite. Presumably this is the culture Galloway refers to – rather than the poverty stricken North Korean countryside.
