Jackie Walker, Momentum vice-chair, has been suspended from the Labour Party following her remarks about the Holocaust and anti-Semitism at party conference this week.
Walker, who was suspended from the party earlier this year over separate controversial comments, said this week that she had not come across a definition of anti-Semitism she could “work with”, and questioned the inclusivity of Holocaust Memorial Day.
She was last night suspended from the Labour Party, but retains her position on Momentum’s steering committee – yet with a crunch meeting expected on Monday, her role with the organisation is now in doubt.
Senior figures in Momentum are said to be deeply unhappy with her remarks, and yesterday TSSA general secretary Manuel Cortes described her views as “abhorrent”.
