Ed Miliband has a new PPS, as John Demham steps down from his official role in the leader’s office to focus on the Southern Taskforce that he’s been working on in recent months (although he’s expected to still remain influential).
Karen Buck moves over from the Shadow Education team to join Jonathan Reynolds as a Miliband PPS – with Tristram Hunt replacing her on the Education team. A Labour source told me this evening:
“John Denham made it clear to Ed some time ago he wanted to step down as PPS to concentrate on his work with the Southern Taskforce. Karen Buck has now joined Jonathan Reynolds as one of Ed Miliband’s PPS’s. Tristram Hunt has replaced Karen in the Shadow Education team.”
