“This is Britain’s chance to shine” – Ed Miliband’s message to Team GB

Ed Miliband has sent the following message to British athletes ahead of the Olympic Games:

“I want to wish everyone in Team GB the very best of luck for London 2012.
 
“In preparing for these games you have shown extraordinary focus and dedication. The Games have inspired people from every walk of life across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Millions have bought the tickets; thousands have turned out to watch the torch relay and now, with the Games upon us, you must know that the whole nation will be behind you.
 
“Britain is incredibly proud to be hosting the Games and proud of all those who will be representing the country. This is Britain’s chance to shine. We are all behind you and wish every one of you every success. I know you will make us proud.”
