Billionaire US investor George Soros has said that Tory austerity measures could bring about another recession. Speaking at the Davos World Economic Forum today, Soros said:
“I don’t think they can be implemented without pushing the economy into a recession…my expectation is that it will prove to be unsustainable.”
This will no doubt be seized on by Labour as proof that international confidence in Tory plans isn;t as rock-solid as Cameron and Osborne have claimed…
