Labour have released their first party political broadcast (PPB) since Jeremy Corbyn was elected leader – and he’s the star.
The advert opens with pictures of Corbyn’s victory in September, as he tells us: “Four months ago, we began a journey.” Alongside some punchy graphics (and some very frowny Jeremy), he outlines how the government has climbed down on working tax credits, the Saudi Arabia prisons deal and cuts to to police funding.
Corbyn also highlights Labour’s commitment to renationalising the railways, how he will argue for building more council homes rather than selling them off, and how “it was Labour that created the NHS, and it’s Labour that will save the NHS.”
“We will build an alternative to this government. A fairer, more prosperous Britain for all,” he closes by saying. “Join us on our journey to build a better Britain.”
