* Blair’s back, reports the Mirror — and the former PM will give a speech in Country Durham “to destroy David Cameron’s arrogant claim” that he is his heir.

* Labour’s manifesto will include plans to offer football supporters first right to buy their clubs should they be put up for sale.

* Alistair Darling, George Osborne an Vince Cable will go head-to-head tonight in a TV debate on the economy.

* Labour has increased its lead over the SNP and Tories in Scotland since the budget, the Times reports.

* Chris Bryant, Labour’s minister for Europe, and hist partner Jared Cranney became the first couple to go into a civil partnership at Parliament over the weekend.

* Hundreds of hunt supporters are under orders to ride into action in key marginal seats, in the knowledge that David Cameron will allow a return to hunting with dogs if he gets to Downing Street.

* Economic recovery is my priority, says Gordon Brown as David Cameron focuses on the message of “change”.
