After David Cameron u-turned on having a vote tomorrow on military intervention in Syria – opting instead for two votes (one tomorrow and another after the UN inspectors have finished their report) – Labour sources have been quick to note that Cameron only shifted his position after pressure from Miliband. A source close to Miliband told LabourList this evening:
“We will continue to scrutinise this motion but at 5.15pm David Cameron totally ruled out a second vote, an hour and a half later he changed his mind. Ed was determined to do the right thing. It has taken Labour forcing a vote to force the Govt to do the right thing.”
