
Earlier this week a photo started circulating of Ed Miliband leaving Russell Brand’s flat in East London. It became clear yesterday that Miliband had been recording an interview with Brand for his YouTube Channel “The Trews” – as a Labour spokesperson told us: “Ed was doing a media interview like he often does. We look forward to it being broadcast”. Yesterday a trailer surfaced, announcing that the full interview would be released today. And here it is:
Miliband has been using social media far more during this election campaign than post other party leaders. A few weeks ago he did his first YouTube “collab” with Youtubers NikiNSammy and the video version of his interview with Absolute Radio was well received too.
Whilst some will mock Miliband for doing an interview with Brand, he has almost ten million Twitter followers and a million subscribers on YouTube. If a fraction of those turn up and vote Labour off the back of this, then it may prove worth facing down the sneers…
