Ed Balls is taking the fight directly to George Osborne’s door this Easter weekend, with a poster that highlights “The cost of a Tory Chancellor”. It’s the latest to be designed by advertising guru and Labour supporter Trevor Beattie.
The £1100 average sum – based on figures from the independent Institute for Fiscal Studies – takes into account all of the tax and benefit changes introduced by David Cameron’s government from May 2010 to May 2015.
