Richmond Park shortlist revealed

Richmond Park constituency Labour Party today picked a shortlist of five people to take on Zac Goldsmith. LabourList understands the following names will go forward to the the final hustings on Saturday.

Ellie Cumbo – researcher at the General Council of the Bar of England and Wales and well-known justice campaigner.

Barnaby Marder – local activist backed by Red Labour and Richmond Park Momentum.

Sachin Patel – supermarket manager and Usdaw rep who fought the seat for Labour last year.

Jessica Toale – international development expert and previously an advisor to Ivan Lewis.

Christian Wolmar – transport analyst and author who previously sought the Labour nomination for London mayor.
