On Monday we showed you how George Osborne liked Ed Miliband’s speech so much he even borrowed some of his lines. It seems that the chancellor wasn’t the only one – Cameron has been at it too.
Miliband: “So I will take on the vested interests wherever they are because that is how we defend the public interest.”
Cameron: “But if we put in the effort, correct those mistakes, confront those vested interests and take on the failed ideas of the past, then I know we can turn this ship around.”
Miliband: “But to write a new chapter in our country’s history. The promise of Britain lies in its people.”
Cameron: “Because the things that will really deliver success are not politicians or government. It’s the people of Britain, and the spirit of Britain.”
Cameron also borrowed the idea of “something for nothing” from Miliband – following in the footsteps of Osborne on Monday.
