New Statesman goes head-to-head with The Spectator

From LabourListNS

We’ve had to fire a shot across Spectator Political Editor Fraser Nelson’s bows ourselves but now he is being taken to task by the New Statesman’s rising star James Macintyre.

After Macintyre’s piece exposing Cameron as a hollow-gram yesterday Nelson attempted a riposte but this has in turn been shot down by Macintyre in a pretty damning “rebuttal rebuttal“. The exchange throws some interesting light on who or what Cameron really is.

The best news is that Sunder Katwala of the Fabian Society has now offered the pair a chance to debate it out.

We’ll let you know the time and place and might even see if we can webcast it!
