Three years ago there was no LabourList. It didn’t exist. As Anthony Painter has said, “If LabourList didn’t exist, you’d have to invent it.”

But we do exist — because of our readers like you. By visiting the site, sharing our work on Twitter and Facebook, and by donating to support our running costs. We wouldn’t be here without people like you.

Our work is growing. We have more contributors, more readers and more stories to cover. That means our costs keep rising. To help us meet those costs, a generous donor has stepped in to offer to match the grassroots donations we get.

We’ve brought you the latest news and opinion from across the Labour moment, fought campaigns to strengthen the party by giving members more of a say, and we’ve taken the fight to the Tories. But that doesn’t come for free. We need your help to keep working this festive period.

Right wing blogs and campaign groups are much better funded than LabourList, and we need to be able to compete with them in the battle of ideas and organisation to come. Every donation will be doubled, and every donation will make us better at what we do.
