Speaking to BBC News, Ed Miliband said:
“If this was to go ahead I wouldn’t be accepting this pay rise but I don’t think it will be going ahead in the current circumstances. I think that when IPSA consult the public, the public will be pretty clear that while the difficulties we have in the economy persist, while we’re going through the biggest crisis in living standards for a generation which are affecting ordinary men and women up and down Britain we can’t have MPs getting a 10% pay rise.”
