Ed excels in Q & A. It is his element. The delegate sat next to me turned to me and said “he’s very witty isn’t he!”.
He fielded questions on rail, on housing, on local government, on the environment, on energy, disability and sexism in society.
Each questioner got a polite answer even if not the pledge they might have been looking for. He was charming, funny and even flirtatious.
Following on from Ed’s incredibly successful conference speech yesterday, everyone in the hall had a spring in their step. No one more so that Ed. And it is much deserved.
