Alistair Darling has become the fifth Labour MP to take a soaking for the Ice Bucket Challenge.
Earlier this week, we saw Merseyside MPs Stephen Twigg, Luciana Berger, Alison McGovern and Steve Rotherham get drenched for a good cause. Unfortunately, no further MPs were nominated to take part until Scottish actor James McAvoy put the pressure on Scottish referendum opponents Alistair Darling and Alex Salmond to do their bit.
Darling has wasted no time – and the staff at Better Together (or Wetter Together, as they describe themselves here) seem to enjoy themselves as they dump no fewer than four buckets of water over their boss’ head. Your move, Salmond.
The Better Together campaign chair nominated only his staff, meaning that as far as we are aware there are no more Labour MPs set to take part over the long bank holiday weekend.
Some consternation has already been raised that the water appears to contain no ice, leading to worries that Darling might have done a Bieber.
