Labour launch new video – where the Tories admit they’re “unapologetic, unreformed Thatcherites”

Labour has launched a new Party Election Broadcast, attacking the Tories. The video “a four-step guide – how not to be the nasty party” includes undercover footage of Eric Pickles asking a room full of Conservatives how many of them are “unapologetic, unreformed Thatcherites”. A question that’s met with loud cheers.

The video also shows that the Tories, threatened by Ukip, are hung up on Europe and includes excerpts from an interview with Jacob Rees-Mogg who says that Nigel Farage is “not far away from the Conservative Party in most of his views.”

And the final nail in the coffin that’s used to prove the Tories are, in fact, the ‘nasty party’: the NHS. As the broadcast (and the open letter from medical experts yesterday reminds) shows, the Tories might be saying the right things when it comes to the NHS, but the past 5 years of underfunding and privatisation proves they aren’t bothered about protecting the NHS.
