Freedom is a beautiful thing: moving Unite video for LGBT history month

For LGBT history month, Unite members have spoken about their experience fighting for equality.

Trade unionists work to advance and defend equalities all year round but February is a month to shine a light on the work they do to challenge prejudice.

This moving film – called Freedom is a Beautiful Thing – brings together the voices of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Unite activists to describe their struggle.

Unite

Unite is Britain and Ireland's largest union, formed in a recent merger betwen the TGWU and Amicus. The Union will, along with its partner United Steelworkers, form part of Workers Uniting, a new global union representing workers from the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Canada, Ireland and the Caribbean.
