Labour’s candidate for Brent South Dawn Butler has found a different way of reaching out to voters from old school door knocking, leaflets and plain old social media posts.

The former deputy leadership contender has released a video of herself on X (formerly Twitter) rapping her own version of the So Solid Crew hit ’21 Seconds To Go’, with  the election 21 days away.

Butler’s video drew praise from many other Labour figures, with Birmingham Erdington candidate Paulette Hamilton responding: “I love this! Very different but young people will relate to it!”

“Love it Dawn!!!”  wrote candidate Anna Turley.
