Hope not Hate

Hope not HateA new grassroots network has been launched as part of the campaign to ensure BNP candidates are not elected to the European Parliament in the June 5 elections.

Hope not Hate has already enlisted thousands of supporters and small donors and has collaborated with Searchlight to extend its scope of outreach.

Nick Lowles, who is spearheading the new drive, said:

‘There are 3 particular regions we’re concerned about – the North West, Yorkshire & Humber and the West Midlands. Because these elections are fought under proportional representaion, our campaign will be won or lost on who can get the vote out most effectively. By mobilising the anti-BNP support, the BNP will be squeezed. But European elections regularly have low turnout…and the fewer voters out there means the higher the value of each BNP vote’.

‘At every level we must challenge the BNP’s claims and expose the truth behind their hate campaign. Over the next few months, we’ll be contacting everyone who opposes the BNP to remind them that if they don’t vote they’ll be letting the BNP in through the back door.’
