Small gain for Labour in YouGov poll as Tories slip – but BNP are biggest winners

From @LabourList

The latest YouGov poll for today’s Daily Telegraph reveals the following changes nationwide:

Conservatives: 39% (-2)

Labour: 23% (+1)

Lib Dems: 19% (nc)

These were the results of likely voters in the European election:

Conservatives: 26% (-2)

Labour: 21% (+2)

Lib Dems: 14% (-4)

UKIP: 16% (-3)

BNP: 7% (+4)

So not as bad news for Labour as many had expected.

Political Betting says:

“The Tory Euro share of 26% is exactly the same as the party then led by Michael Howard achieved in 2004. This isn’t good news for David Cameron. He needs to be showing progress”.

But the most worrying development is the gain by the BNP – their threat is real. Visit Hope Not Hate for more.
