Poll List: Labour up four points in a month in ComRes-Indy poll

Labour have made a two point net gain on the Tories in the last month according to a new ComRes poll commissioned for today’s Independent.

The poll was taken over the weekend, and shows Labour’s support up by 4 points on the same ComRes poll for the Independent from a month ago (September 28th), with the Tories up two.

The results aren’t enough for Labour (the party have slipped a point in the last week since another ComRes poll for the Independent on Sunday), but the slight boost received as a result of conference season has been largely maintained.

There are also more signs beneath the topline results that David Cameron is yet to seal the deal with the electorate.

45% of all respondents agreed with the statement that “David Cameron seems likeable but I’m not sure I’m ready to see a Conseravtive government”, while 49% disagreed.

Meanwhile, there is still some confidence amongst Labour voters that the party can turn things around, with 53% saying Labour still has a good chance of winning the next general election.
