Blair deploys Obama’s web company for Labour campaign

Expect to see much more of Tony Blair in the coming weeks: he’s taking his campaigning for Gordon Brown and a fourth Labour term seriously – and is using Barack Obama’s web company Blue State Digital to build an expansive web presence.

Last year, Blue State Digital rebuilt Blair’s Faith Foundation website, and already this year has quietly built impressive websites for Blair’s Quartet work, Africa Governance Initiative, Sports Foundation and general office.

They have now created a dedicated website specifically for Blair’s election campaigning, applying some of the same tools of web communication used by the Obama campaign.

Blair is also harnessing his Office of Tony Blair email list, which has been built up over some three years, to communicate with voters throughout his campaign for Labour. You can sign up here.
