Ed Miliband Tweeting

By Alex Smith / @alexsmith1982

After his declaration at the Fabian event earlier today, Ed Miliband has just launched his new campaign website (below) and has hit the Twittersphere to ask people what they thought about his speech.

Ed initially tweeted:

“Thanks to everyone at Fabian speech today. Really enjoyed great discussion and questions. Any follow-up thoughts?”

He then responded to a number of questions and tweets.

To @Captain_Razzle’s question:

“@Ed_Miliband disconected ex-labour activist calling! With hindsight, where do you stand on ID cards & Gary Mckinnon?”

He responded:

“@Captain_Razzle On ID cards, I don’t think the case is strong enough to persist with it….”

@Omar_Sheikh tweeted:

“@Ed_Miliband humility in defeat played well, and disgruntled LibDems will come your way. But we’re waiting for the new ideas…

Miliband responded:

“@Omar_Sheikh I agree but new ideas have to come from analysis of problem and from all of us. Listening and learning then policy…”

@LeonGreen tweeted:

“@Ed_Miliband You have any plans to stimulate local Labour members to reach out&listen to local people to inform your leadership bid?”

Ed responded:

“@LeonGreen yes, want to meet as many LP members as possible and find ways of hearing your ideas….”

And responding to @BevaniteEllie’s earlier tweet:

“Being a member of a political party should be about more than delivering leaflets. It should be exciting. #nextleft”

Ed asked:

“@BevaniteEllie what do you think would make the biggest difference in attracting members back in terms of their role?

Ed’s still online now – tweet to @Ed_Miliband.
