Speaking to Sky News this morning, David Miliband said that Britain is “the leader” on international development:
“We have a moral responsibility, but we also have a vested interest in remaining committed, because Britain has become not just a leader, but the leader in international development in the last 15 years and we have to stay there.”
David also struck a confident note about the leadership campaign as we head towards the final days of the campaign, with the result only four days away:
“The opponent I’m concerned about is David Cameron and I think the Labour Party has to chose a leader who can speak to the public as well as the party, who can unify the party and take on the government in a battle of ideas, that’s the focus of my campaign.”
