Recently the Lib Dems strated back into the murky world of party political broadcasts. You may remember that their most famous attempt from 2010 – “Broken Promises” – the title of which they’re probably regretting. You can see Nick Clegg in that video below:
It was somewhat surprising then to see the location chosen for Lib Dem President Tim Farron (curiously chosen rather than Nick Clegg) – to deliver his speech on how the Lib Dems have changed Britain. Notice anything familiar?:
The latest PPB begins with Farron saying “I could bore you with a long list of all the things we have done in power”. Farron elects to only mention one achievement though. There’s a brief mention of Labour – yet strangely no mention, or sighting of Clegg, Cable, or AV.
If the Lib Dems are so proud of their record, why are they are their most high profile ministers so bashful about it?
