After all of the excitement (?!) of the few weeks, including conference, the shadow cabinet reshuffle, Liam Fox’s resignation and of course, rolling out the new LabourList design, we almost forgot to bring you the result of September’s MP of the month contest.
September’s winner was Ed Balls, who spent September – as he has every day throughout 2011 – leading the charge against the government’s economic policies. Balls pushed hard for a VAT cut to stimulate the economy, and has helped to shape an economic narrative that puts the prospect of a “Plan B”. That’s something that clearly impressed LabourList readers back in September.
Stay tuned to LabourList tomorrow, when we’ll be bringing October’s “State of the Party” survey to the the new site, including your first chance to have your say on the new shadow cabinet, and of course, October’s MP of the month…
