Please tell me that Labour don’t do this…

Earlier this week, David Cameron said that “the idea that wearing a poppy to remember those who have given their lives for our freedom is a political act is absurd”. It’s not often that I agree with the PM, but he was right about that. That’s why this photo (via Jessica Asato and Tim Montgomerie), is so wrong:

 

Update: Thanks to Tim Montgomerie, we learn that unfortunately Labour are not immune to criticism on this score. Similarly Stephen Glenn reveals that there are examples of Tories behaving likewise. This is upsetting to see from any party. Hopefully Ed Miliband and other party leaders will make it clear that in future, Remembrance Sunday is a time to tone down party politics…
