Public sector workers record awareness raising single

A group of public service workers – calling themselves The Workers – have come together to record a song in aid of the November 30th Day of Action on public service pensions. “Let’s Work Together” (a cover of the Canned Heat hit) is available to download from today.

It’s cheesy of course, and the song isn’t going to win any awards, but as well as raising awareness of the issues behind November 30th it’s for a good cause – the equivalent of 40p from a 99p download will be donated by the TUC to AgeUK to show support for today’s pensioners.
