Labour’s poll lead down to 3 points with Ipsos-Mori

Labour’s lead has fallen to just 3 points in the Ipsos-MORI May poll, after disappointing County Council election results. Usual caveats about outlier polls usually being wrong apply, and it certainly seems unusual for the Tories to be going up in the polls after the past month (whilst UKIP are far lower – and falling- with Ipsos-Mori than other pollsters).

That said, this will no doubt pile further pressure on Ed Miliband, and test his resolve.

The top line of the poll reads:

CON 31
LAB 34
LD 10
Ukip 13

Of course today’s YouGov poll had Labour on 40 points with a 10 point lead…
