Tory HQ launches bizarre “police state” attack on Labour

We’re fully into silly season now, and the press team over at Tory HQ are evidently getting a bit carried away during the summer holidays. Professional Twitter nuisance Tory Deputy Head of Press, Ric Holden, was asked by his Labour counterparts this afternoon why the Tories had not commented on the epic data loss at the Serious Fraud Office.

How did Holden respond? Like this:

So expecting the Tories to comment on failures at the SFO = longing for a brutal Stalinist police state in the eyes of the (usually) perpetually opinionated Mr Holden. Off to the gulag with him…

And as for not commenting on departments that are “independent” and have nothing to do with the Tories, we assume that Holden will be taking the same approach to other aspects of government. Like Vince Cable…
