A spot of housekeeping – Conference comments policy

As conference kicks off in Brighton, so does an incredibly busy week for LabourList, with work, news, rumours and reporting. So we’re changing our moderating policy, just during Labour Conference – although we will monitor how it works.
Instead of pre-moderating posts, we will post-moderate them – as long as you have a verified email address on our comments system Disqus.
This means your comments will appear immediately on the site when you post. We will not be pre-approving them. The comments on LabourList are mostly informative, interesting, well-thought-through views and opinions that we really value reading. LabourList’s vibrant comments section is what makes us such an effective site, and we’re really looking forward to reading what you have to say about LabourList’s Conference coverage and events.
But a word of warning: if what you post is abusive, defamatory, libelous, racist, harrassing or breaches our Comment Policy in any way, we will delete your post.We may also permanently ban you from commenting.
So play nice, people.

Do you value LabourList’s coverage? We need your support.

Our independent journalists have been on the ground during this local and by-election campaign, which marks the first key electoral test of Keir Starmer’s government.

We’ve been out and about with Labour activists and candidates across the country from Bristol to Hull, and will soon be heading to Cambridgeshire and Lancashire – as well as Runcorn and Helsby. We’ve also polled readers for their views on the campaign.

LabourList relies on donations from readers like you to continue its fair, fast, reliable and well-informed news and analysis. We don’t have party funding or billionaire owners.
