Today Labour have a PPB out (it’ll be on TV tonight) which unsurprisingly – given that energy prices have dominated the news agenda since Ed Miliband’s conference speech last month – is about energy prices.
The video features members of the public and small business owners talking about their problems with price rises, and features this key phrase from Miliband’s conference speech:
“You need to get a fair deal. The system is broken and we’re going to fix it. The blame lies with government for not having had the strength to take this on. The real test of leadership is not whether you stand up to the weak, that’s easy. The real test of leadership is whether you stand up to the strong. If we win that election in 2015, the next Labour government will freeze gas and electricity prices until the start of 2017.”
It’s a further continuation of the strategy to show that Miliband is standing up for ordinary people. Here’s the video:
