Labour MEP cuts up his Visa card in protest over Olympics sponsorship

Michael Cashman – MEP for the West Midlands, former Chair of Labour’s NEC and prominent gay rights activist – took a very direct approach to expressing his anger with those sponsoring the Winter Olympics. Cashman told the European Parliament on yesterday that attacks on gay, lesbian and transgender Russians were “entirely unacceptable”, and condemned those who are sponsoring the Sochi games.
