Former Tory MP Louise Mensch has put her foot in it. Here’s what she tweeted last night:

Which would be fine, if LabourList’s own Sunny Hundal was a British Muslim. Except he isn’t. As he tweeted back:

Awkward… Louise might have come away from this ok if she had accepted her mistake. But she compounded it by tweeting this:

So you can tell someone’s religion by their politics and their tweets? Who knew?

Perhaps Louise should stick to doing what she does best – attacking the Labour party from across the Atlantic rather than working for the Corby constituents she left in the lurch…
