Big Society ‘invented by Jesus’ claims David Cameron

David Cameron has audaciously claimed that flagship Tory policy idea “the Big Society” is simply a continuation of God’s work.

Speaking at a Downing Street Easter reception last night, the Prime Minister said:

“Jesus invented the Big Society 2,000 years ago. I just want to see more of it.”

We did a quick search for the term “Big Society” in The Bible and, curiously, it returned no results at all.

Perhaps we shouldn’t take Cameron’s word as Gospel truth then.
