Labour PPB: Hardworking Britain Better Off

Labour are releasing a new Party Political Broadcast today. Narrated by actor David Morrissey (who LabourList readers might remember as a young Gordon Brown in Channel 4’s The Deal), the ad focusses on the rising prices for average families. In particular, expect to hear more of these lines:

– Gas and electricity bills have risen by more than £300 under David Cameron

– The cost of a nursery place has risen by 30%

– Cameron has put up taxes 24 times: the increase in VAT alone is costing families an extra £450.

This is contrasted with Labour’s promise (and this looks like it might be the first trial outing for a potential election slogan): Hardworking Britain Better Off.
