David Axelrod’s timetable for today

As I wrote earlier today, David Axelrod is having his first UK meetings with Labour figures today. It’s a difficult week to enter the frame – not just with the current polling, but also with only a week left before an election where the campaign strategy has already been decided. So, you could expect him to get chucked in at the deep end: and according to the timetable for his first day, seen by LabourList, that’s exactly what’s happened.

Morning – Meetings with Ed Miliband’s core team

Lunch – with the whole Shadow Cabinet

Afternoon – Polling and messaging discussions with the General Election stragey group

Late afternoon – Spencer Livermore gives a presentation of his 12 month campaign grid

We’ll have more information and analysis of what these meetings will entail this afternoon.
