Weekly survey: Referendum result, Miliband’s message and winning in cities

have your say ll (long)

Scotland goes to the polls this week in a vote that will determine the future of the UK. While most polls give the Labour-supported No campaign the lead, it is still too close to give either side a definite win yet.

But who do you think will win? Have Better Together convinced people already? Did Yes peak too soon? Or will the independence campaign make a late surge? We’ll reveal what LabourList readers think the result will be when polls close on Thursday.

May’s elections saw Labour make huge gains in cities like London and Manchester, but struggle elsewhere. Do you think cities are well represented at a national level? Should local governments wield greater power?

After the election, what areas should the Government prioritise in your area? Job creation? Public services? Housing? Let us know what their focus should be.

LabourList will be hosting a debate on how we can win in cities in 2015 at Labour Party Conference: find out more here.

Ed Miliband’s speech next week will likely be the last Conference speech he gives as Leader of the Opposition. With only months to go until the General Election, what should be the issue that he focuses on most? Devolution? Deficit reduction? The NHS?

LabourList will be hosting a debate on Miliband’s message at Labour Party Conference as soon as the Leader’s Speech finishes: find out more here.

This week’s survey will close on Thursday. You can vote here.
