Prescott slams Dugher over motorist comments

As we reported yesterday in his first interview since becoming Shadow Transport Secretary, Michael Dugher, said that he wanted to start championing motorists, and end Labour’s ‘war on drivers’.

John Prescott, former Deputy Prime Minister who was also Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and Regions, isn’t too impressed. He took to Twitter to criticise Dugher’s comments, saying Labour have never demonised motorists and that Mary Creagh, Dugher’s predecessor in the Shadow Cabinet role, was brilliant in her role.
