Could Ed Miliband have won the backing of famous non-voter Russell Brand?

Update: A Labour spokesperson tells us: “Ed was doing a media interview like he often does. We look forward to it being broadcast”. So an Ed Miliband interview on Brand’s “The Trews” will be coming at some point today. Brand has over a million subscribers on YouTube.
Here’s what Ed Miliband said about Brand in a recent interview with Shortlist magazine:
“I definitely want people to vote – and I want people to vote Labour, obviously – but it’s really important that we engage people in the election. People criticise Russell Brand, and I don’t agree with his message, but what he’s saying, a number of people are thinking. Which is that politics doesn’t feel like it speaks to them.”
As Brand has said publicly that he doesn’t vote – and won’t be on the electoral register – it seems unlikely that the Labour leader was canvassing the “Revolution” author at his East London home. But could Miliband be a guest on Brand’s “The Trews”…?
