Dan Jarvis rules himself out of the Labour leadership race

Dan-Jarvis-007

Dan Jarvis was one of the most talked about candidates for Labour leader, and there was considerable enthusiasm behind the scenes for his candidacy. Yet this evening Jarvis has rules himself out. The Mirror reports:

The Barnsley Central MP, who has three young children, recently remarried after losing his first wife Caroline to cancer.

The unnamed ally said: “Dan wants to help Labour in any way he can but he needs to put his children first.”

We’re expecting to hear from Dan on LabourList this evening. Watch this space…
