McDonnell: Chancellor’s wriggling over triple lock shows Tories are abandoning pensioners

This is the statement published by John McDonnell after Philip Hammond decline to guarantee the future of the triple lock at Treasury questions today.

“The Chancellor’s refusal again today to commit to the triple lock in the next parliament, only further proves that the Tories are abandoning older people.”
